It's been a while. My computer kind of broke. I got busy with fall semester finals. I did the Christmas break thing (it was sweeet :D). I came back to school. I got sick (twice). I did the Spring break thing. And now here I am, a little more than halfway through the semester. I just gotta say...
English sucks.
It sucks the fun out of my days at times, and it does this thing where it hangs over my head and yet I still put it off until way late. And that's bad. Can't I just not have to do it anymore?
Apparently not. I still have to write that 12-15 page research paper. Oh, and the annotated bibliography. So, may I repeat?
English sucks.
(No offense to those who enjoy English, but I am entitled to my own opinion, aren't I?)

Dear Motor Vehicle Drivers,
Okay, seriously. What is up with the brites? They are not necessary, painful, and generally unpleasant.
I'm sick of being blinded by cars going in the opposite direction of me.
Disgruntled,
Me

Health
So...I've been working on online Health for the last two years.
And now I'm almost finished.
I have three and a little bit more assignments left.
Which is a good thing, seeing as I'm supposed to be done before September 15th.
Wish me luck!

Why is it that...
My two most awful (aka, lacking the most sleep) nights of sleep I can remember in the last year or so, are both at my brother's house? And that includes girls camp. At least there when I got no sleep one night it was intentional.
Last night was horrible.
I was sweating rivers, as my brother's house was about 83 degrees all night. Also, there were mosquitoes, which means I'm sporting about four new mosquito bites. And the water here tastes quite strange, so I've been thirsty since about midnight last night. Throw in some world class tossing-and-turning, not falling asleep until at least three thirty or four in the morning and then waking up at about six thirty for another twenty minutes or so of tossing-and-turning, and you've got my night.
Oh, and I'm on a weird uncomfortable air mattress with a strange, smelly, sticky-feeling blanket on top of it, with a fly buzzing all around my head. Add it all up and I'm living my own personal type of hell. This is bad.
The next time I'm thinking of sleeping over here, someone please talk ke out of it.

Band...eww...
Thursday was the band concert.
Gross.
But we survived, so...that's okay I guess.
The trombones tried to create a double piggy back ride
(Unsuccessfully)
I wore my blue shoes again. (Like I did at state)
Merkley gazed adoringly at Kirsten
Haha, that was funny. ;)
So...it was a good evening...before the concert. :P
And it was my last!!
I never have to play again!! (Other than graduation, but...I'll survive)

Not good
We're going to state
For band.
I have no desire to participate in this activity.
I don't need another thing to do...

My Family's the Best
I love how I can come home from band festival (blech),
My family asks me how it went.
I say, "He said it was the best we'd ever played the songs."
And my family knows exactly how to respond.
"That sucks."

A Letter to the World
Dear Motor Vehicle Drivers of the World,
When your engine is loud, it's LOUD, and ANNOYING.
It doesn't make you cool.
It just makes you DUMB.
Please quiet down your engines.
(Especially motorcyclists)
Sincerely,
Cassie

That Was Good, That Was Bad
When I was in second grade, I had to write a story.
It was a "That was good, that was bad" story.
Basically, something good happens, and you say "that was good"
Then something bad happens and you say "that was bad."
Today kind of went like that.
I slept until 1:30, getting 12 hours of sleep and it was wonderful.
That was good.
Unfortunately, that meant that I missed a text from Kirsten, inviting me to go to the golf driving range.
That was bad.
Fortunately, I have a car and a license, so I could drive myself to the golf course.
That was good.
Unfortunately, I have a horrible sense of direction and had no idea how to get there.
That was bad.
Fortunately, my parents did know how to get there, so they gave me directions.
That was good.
Unfortunately, during all of their directing, they never told me to go North on State Street instead of South.
That was bad.
So, I started on my way, trying to get to the golf course.
And I went South on State Street.
Through Orem, through Provo, all the way till it turned into 500 West.
Then I somehow ended up on University, which I followed.
And it took me to the freeway, which I didn't realize I was on until I was on it.
I ended up in Springville.
Tearfully, I called my mom and asked what went wrong.
Upon which time, I was alerted to the fact that I was supposed to go North.
Fail.
Fortunately, I was in a part of Springville from where--miraculously--I knew how to get home.
That was good.
Unfortunately, at this point, I had missed my chance to go to the driving range with Kirsten.
That was bad.
Fortunately, my mom texted and said I could buy a frosty with the money she'd given me.
That was good.
Unfortunately, when I ordered, I forgot to ask for a vanilla frosty.
That was bad.
Fortunately, when I got home, I got a text from my friend Heather asking if I wanted to earn some money.
That was good.
Unfortunately, well...it wasn't super unfortunate. But I did feel tired, and worn out.
That was kind of bad.
Fortunately, they took those of us working to Texas Roadhouse to eat.
That was good.
Unfortunately, there were a gajillion people there already.
That was bad.
Fortunately, Heather's mom called ahead, so we only had to wait 10 minutes.
That was good.
Unfortunately, I was water deprived for a while, and my food was odd.
But that wasn't too bad.
Fortunately, during that night, I earned $35 and had a lot of fun sorting papers.
That was good.
Unfortunately, I still had to drive myself home. I dislike driving.
That was bad.
Fortunately, when I arrived home, a smoothie from my aunt was waiting.
That was good.
Unfortunately, the smoothie was way coconut-y, which I don't like.
That was bad.
Fortunately, I had a little cake and I was allowed to get online to watch Psych.
That was good.
Final score: The fortunatelys have it, just barely. The day gets about a 5/10.
Anyway, it was stressful, but balanced by fun...and money.

Disappointment
Something Borrowed.
I was really excited to see it, it looked good.
It had John Krasinski, and Ginnifer Goodwin (from He's Just Not That Into You) in it.
But I was majorly disappointed.
She picked the wrong guy.
I know we were all hoping she'd go with Ethan (Krasinski)
But no, she's stupid.
So...that was a waste of my time.
The only good scene was this, but even that was kind of sad.
Because he's amazing, and she totally disses him.
Whatever.

Narwhal
Grrr...yesterday I forgot my radio show.
Which sucked. :C
And now I have to make it up.
But...I don't really know very many people in my class.
This fails. :C

Girl's Camp Tomorrow...
It's that lovely occasion that only comes around once a year tomorrow.
Girls camp.
Joy.
I'm not really that excited.
Tents are awful and not very uncomfortable.
I've never really loved girl's camp before.
This year we're going boating and such.
I'm terrified of boats.
Wish me luck.
Hope I don't die of boredom/contempt.

Happy 4th
It's the fourth of July, yippee. :P
I spent the time from 11-12 filling and tying water balloons.
It is officially the worst job ever.
My fingers were killing me by the end.
But I survived.
And then I had a delicious lunch/dinner type thing at about 3.
Chicken sandwich, hot dog, chips, cherries, and root beer.
Om nom nom. :)
Mr. Freckle got in the spirit. :P

Fireworks tonight.
And the month + surrounding this day.
I dislike fireworks. >:C
But I guess I'll live.

YouTube on Blogs
So why won't this work on my account?
It works just fine on Mr. Freckle's Blog.
But noooo...apparently no YouTube Videos for me. :C
(I guess I'll just have to use his Blog to get them.)

Lame Sauce
Today was awful.
It started out okay.
I was having fun cleaning my room.
Then Dad made me go to a movie with the fam.
A movie I didn't want to see.
Sure, it was okay...but I would have rather been at home.
The only reason I even went was...
because he said I couldn't go to my own birthday dinner
if I didn't go. :C
So I went.
And then we went to dinner.
And I really wished I'd stayed home.
My food wasn't that great.
And I felt crappy.
And it was just awful. :'(
I don't think I'll go to Red Lobster again for my birthday.
Chiles or TGI Friday's or something.

Steve!!

This is my pet fish.
I got him for never missing or being late to Seminary.
I have named him Steve
(But sometimes I call him Mr. Fish, or Herr Fisch.)
Kirsten kept calling him Jesus. :P
That was kind of funny.
The idea of a fish is kind of cool.
But really, it just kind of sucks. :C
It's not a rewarding pet.
It's kind of boring.
But...whatever.
(Fail seminary gift.)

Evil
Rebecca Black is a plague on the universe.
She can't sing.
She looks scary.
And I hate her.
And then they sang the Friday song on Glee.
Why, universe, why?!?
