Failings

The fire alarm just went off.
That's the second occasion in recent times.
And that sucks, because it's cold and snowy outside.
Dang it kiln! You're so lame for smoking and making us stand outside for almost 40 MINUTES.

Lame Sauce

I have so much homework.
It's not so great.
AP English might kill me, and my feelings about Yearbook are a bit bipolar.
Plus, having two science classes in one year is never really a good idea.
And then there's statistics, which isn't overly difficult, but I'm not a huge fan.
At least I have radio and Seminary to make things a little bit more relaxed.
Psychology, too, a bit. It won't be too hard, but I will have homework.
So...hopefully I'll survive my senior year.

School...And All That Jazz

Today, as you probably well know, was the first day of school.
I started off the day in a very crowded Statistics classroom.
It was pretty amazing though. There are so many great people in that class! :D
Anyway, I ended up with homework...
...Which I finished in Physics, my next class.
That class will be...interesting. Probably not too difficult, but kind of lame.
I don't really know anyone in there, but hopefully I'll survive.
From that class, I got a little bit of homework (although it was easy)...
...Which I finished at the beginning of AP English.
That will probably be my most difficult class.
I also got homework in that class (as well as "All By Myself" stuck in my head).
That work I finished at home.
I finished off the day in Yearbook. That class seems like it'll be fun.
It'll be work, but it will be worth it.
And for that class, I have a writing assignment.

So...I got assigned homework in all four of my classes.
I only have the Yearbook homework left, so I should do that.
Tomorrow I'll have AP Biology, Seminary, Radio 3, and Psychology.
It'll be slightly easier than today, but less friend-full.
I have Psychology with Matt Ricks, and I think Rachel Eldredge is in my Bio class.
But other than that...I might be lonely.
I'll survive though.

So wish me luck, with my senior year.
I certainly wish you luck with your (school year).

48 Hours

That's how long I have left until my freedom is ripped away from me.
And by that, I mean school officially starts up.
I can't believe summer is this close to being over!!
Noooooooooooo!!
Anyway, sadness. I'm not ready for school work. :C

Health

So...I've been working on online Health for the last two years.
And now I'm almost finished.
I have three and a little bit more assignments left.
Which is a good thing, seeing as I'm supposed to be done before September 15th.
Wish me luck!

Why is it that...

My two most awful (aka, lacking the most sleep) nights of sleep I can remember in the last year or so, are both at my brother's house? And that includes girls camp. At least there when I got no sleep one night it was intentional. Last night was horrible. I was sweating rivers, as my brother's house was about 83 degrees all night. Also, there were mosquitoes, which means I'm sporting about four new mosquito bites. And the water here tastes quite strange, so I've been thirsty since about midnight last night. Throw in some world class tossing-and-turning, not falling asleep until at least three thirty or four in the morning and then waking up at about six thirty for another twenty minutes or so of tossing-and-turning, and you've got my night. Oh, and I'm on a weird uncomfortable air mattress with a strange, smelly, sticky-feeling blanket on top of it, with a fly buzzing all around my head. Add it all up and I'm living my own personal type of hell. This is bad. The next time I'm thinking of sleeping over here, someone please talk ke out of it.

Vacuum

I dislike that word. A lot. Today my little sister got her hair stuck in one. That was funny. But I still don't like the word. It's one of the few I can never seem to spell correctly...

Band...eww...

Thursday was the band concert.
Gross.
But we survived, so...that's okay I guess.
The trombones tried to create a double piggy back ride
(Unsuccessfully)
I wore my blue shoes again. (Like I did at state)
 Merkley gazed adoringly at Kirsten
 Haha, that was funny. ;)
So...it was a good evening...before the concert. :P
And it was my last!!
I never have to play again!! (Other than graduation, but...I'll survive)

EHS-Finance Lit Style

It's almost kind of addictive. But not really.
I started it on Monday and finished it Saturday.
It went really fast and was really easy.
But other stuff...like driver's ed, and health are not as fast and easy.
But now I've done a bunch of quarter two of Health today, so it is a little easier.
It just all depends on motivation.

I wish I was just done already.

End of the Term

I am SO glad it's the end of the term.
Even though it means it's almost third term.
Yikes.

School

I don't want to go back...
But...I have to.
Hopefully it won't be too bad.
I'm kind of freaking about my English book report.
Because I'm not positive about what book I can do.

Why does winter break have to end so soon. :C

Band is Blah

My concert is tonight.
I'm at the practice right now.
It's boring.
But...oh well.
Haha, blogging from the balcony, how rebellious. ;)

Math Test

Blah. I just took one. It was less than excellent.
I think I did okay.
But you never can tell.
You can only hope.
Integrals are lame though. D:

That is all.

I Did It

I transferred out of AP Physics.
That class was just sucking me dry like a leech.
And I'm no longer in early morning seminary.
Huzzah!
Holy crap, no science this year.
That's amazing.
(Even if it might mean that I should take double science next year.)
And I'm in a different English class.
So...lots of changes.
And...apparently they start tomorrow.
Oh boy.
Thank you, Mr. Aguirre!
You just saved my life

School Makes Me Crazy

It's kept me away from you, beloved internet.
I've missed you.
It began with my frustration with Mr. Deans. So Kirsten wrote me a story.
It was amazing. :)
I did my first radio show on Wednesday. It didn't fail too badly. :P
Also on Wednesday I went to the Homecoming Pageant.
And saw a rainbow.
It was pretty funny.
Especially this:
On Thursday my pen exploded, and I made artwork in German.
I also went to a KPGR party.
Where we watched The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie.
And I discovered a funny thing that Taryn had.
The case made a cool hollow sound when I knocked it against my leg.
And on Friday I finally got a computer in Radio.
It's Jakes old computer, which means it's epic. :)
And on Friday I borrowed the second and third disks of Psych from my neighbor!
And this is me being way happy today, because JULES KISSED SHAWN!!
Huzzah!

The Life of A Cat

Another paper I wrote for English
(I've written 4 so far...in the first 3 weeks of school)
This one's based on my cat.
Soooo...enjoy.
Or don't.
I don't really care.

The cat begins her morning on the hunt for food. If she were in the wild, she would truly hunt it down. However, in her current environment, the only food she receives is the food she begs for. Normally, this regal creature would never stoop as low as to beg, but she has learned, that to survive, there is no other way. So she swallows her pride, and meows.
After her filling meal, she seeks a safe haven for her morning nap. Her most frequent habitat is the high bed with the fluffy surface and the great view out the window. When this haunt is unavailable, she spends her morning in the moving seat downstairs overlooking the back yard. During the morning and early afternoon, she spends her time sleeping or bird-watching.
At times, she is surprised as she is discovered and rudely awoken. The feeders (as she thinks of the humans who live in her domain) disturb her routine to “play” with her. At times such as these, this magnificent creature has two options: fight, or play along. She is reminded of her days as a kitten, on the streets. When she thinks of those times, she is tolerant of the feeder’s quirks and she is playful.
As the day passes, lunchtime nears. She seeks out one of the feeders, and does all in her power to receive the food. She will even become cozy in order to obtain her nourishment. Although it seems like the cat might be an impersonal beast, on certain days, when she’s in a good mood, she will encourage the feeders to pet her, purring in pleasure.
The rest of the evening consists of another feeding time, more relaxing lounges, and as the evening draws to a close, treats. If she is ignored, she will continue to persist until she is given what she deems “rightfully hers.” Even after the feeders go to bed, the cat is on the prowl for creatures invading her area. If there is another cat in her territory, she will defeat it. And when the night is over, her day begins anew.

TGIF

Seriously.
It's been such a long week.
Between sleep deprivation, homework, testing stress (I had 4 tests this week), my first radio show, and other stressful events, I'm about dead.
I wish the school week was only three days long.
It would be so much easier. :)
Huzzah for the weekend! (starts in 22 minutes)
Farewell

Somehow, I Manage...

Not to post on one of the easiest days to post.
It's a holiday.
I spent my day cleaning my room, and reading.
And watching some TV.
And I didn't get online until now.
It's kind of a bummer.
I wish we had holidays more often...
But my room's almost all the way clean.
Huzzah!
Maybe I'll have time tomorrow. :)

Late At Night I Think About Things...

My life is not a romance novel. As you live your life, you start to realize that you don’t have the opportunity for any of the key plot lines. You don’t have a best friend who you will eventually realize you’re in love with, or they’ll realize they’re in love with you. Your friends don’t have cute older brothers that you can have verbal sparring matches with when you go to their houses (at least until you realize you’re perfect together). You don’t have a cute guy to be your enemy that you fight with at school until you realize that kissing him is so much more fun. You don’t even really have the best friend or friends that you can have a huge fight with but then reconcile and live happily ever after. You don’t even date, and yet you entertain the fantasy that someday, something like that can happen to you. That maybe, someday, the guy you like will actually like you back instead of how it always goes: he likes someone else. But you comfort yourself with the thought that someday, you will meet a nice guy who will want to date you. And until then, you fill your mind with the stories of fluffy romantic comedy writers; in books, in movies, on TV. But really? When you face the facts, what are the chances of anything remotely that romantic or cute ever actually happening to you? Someday, you will realize that your life isn’t fiction, that you might not live happily ever after, that you might not fall in love any time soon. But you can still hope, can’t you?
