Wednesday--A Day of Golf

Carter made us apple pie.
Delicious apple pie...
Rachel made a circle of colors
I got put in charge of the library
(For a few minutes, but still)
There was a hole in the wall at the golf club house
It looked like a door knob :)
We watched everyone tee off (That's Kirsten in the plaid shorts)
And apparently people can't spell the world Pleasant.

So....it was a good day.
We got 13th out of 24, so that was exciting.
We didn't get back until about 10:30 pm
But...that was okay.

A Quote

Some people say, “Never let them see you cry.” I say, if you’re so mad you could just cry, then cry. It terrifies everyone.

Tuesday

Tuesday was National Weirdness Day.
I kind of felt as if I had run out of all weird things.
So...I wore the thing that was weirdest for me.
A dress.
And then I rocked my sunglasses in the car. ;)
During History we went to the cemetery.
We were looking for war veterans, but we found some other cool stuff too.
This one reminded me of Jon LeBaron:
I was just waiting for a Harry, or Ginny, or Lily, or James. :)
 BJORK!
I created a heart on my calculator
(Actually, I just found the equation online, it's pretty complicated)
And in English...I didn't have English.
My teacher didn't show up, and we had no sub.
So...some of us went to the office to ask about it.
And the lady gave us Snickers.
And then we went and read outside. :D
This is what it said inside:
Tuesday was a good day.
The end.

Some Things Recently...

This was on the board in the math room.
Ah, nerdiness.
This was at Barnes and Noble. Haha, silly Stephen Colbert. :)
This is my little sister's geometry text book.
The last one is her...the second to last one is me. :D
And...this shows our nerdiness.
Because we figured out the extra credit problem on her homework.
With a chart.
It was quite thrilling, really. :D

Chauffer

This week I've been driving people around a lot. I kind of feel like a chauffeur for all the people I know. On Monday I drove Josh home from our math review. On Tuesday I had to go rescue my mom after school because she was stranded in Orem with a flay tire on her bike. On Wednesday I drove Merkley home after our BC Calculus AP test. Yesterday I drove Merkley home again after the AP History test. (I think I really know how to get to his house now ;D) And I took my little sister some shorts and shoes after school, and later picked her up. At about 6:30 I had to rescue my father who thought it was a good idea to go running for almost three and a half hours with not much food in him. And then I took my little sister to a party. And today I drove her to school for a ballroom thing. So...it's kind of like I'm a servant... :P But HUZZAH! I'm done with both my AP tests now. :)

AP Calculus

Sooo...I'm unofficially done with calculus. Today, I took the BC Calculus test. It was...easier than I thought it might be. I actually had a little fun. Yay for Calculus! :D

"If only we were all wiener dogs, all our problems would be solved"

Today was prom...which I didn't go to, obviously. Instead I went to see The Avengers with my family. That has to be one of the best movies ever created. It was amazing and now I can't wait to see it again!! It was funny, action-packed, and full of big names. You gotta love Tony Stark though. After the movie, I played a little Scrabble with my brother and sister-in-law. I found the word Satan. I was pretty proud of that. :) My friend Beth came over a little before eight. She's so awesome and it was FANTASTIC to see her. We ate ice cream and mint Oreos and watched The Brave Little Toaster. I swear, that movie has to be one of the most ridiculous and odd I have ever seen. But it's still hilarious to watch. One of my favorite quotes (and most of the best) is by the radio. John Lovitz is a comedy genius.
He says, "We're like Also, we came up with some lessons that can be learned from the movie.

And the moral of the story is...

  • They all want the worm, but only the hawk can have the fish.
  • You'll always be unhappy in love...especially if you're a flower...and you love a toaster.
  • You should take everything you've ever owned with you to college, because appliances have feelings too.
  • At night your toaster has nightmares about evil firefighter clowns.
The end. :)

Oh hey, by the way...

Band got a 2+ at state festival. I didn't really care, because the highlight of that day was seeing Aaron Nelson. I love that kid. :) Also...girls' golf is going to state! Yay! :D

One

That is the number of days until the calculus test. Oh. My. Gosh.

AP Life

School is almost over.
Also...there are only a few more days until my AP tests.
I'm so excited to be done!! Huzzah :D

In Case You Were Wondering...

Which, you probably weren't.
But...there are only 13 days until my BC Calculus test!!!
OH MY GOSH!
And...there are only 15 days until my AP US History test!!
AND THEN I'LL BE FREE! :D

Until then...I have like...4 history reviews, and 5 Math reviews (Plus a practice test marathon, which I'm SO EXCITED FOR).
So...Wish me luck.
I think I'll do pretty good.
(Especially considering the fact that I only got 3 multiple choice problems wrong on the practice AP math test we just took).

YAY FOR THE LIFE OF A NERD!! :P

I Have a Car Again!! :D

Yay! I no longer am without a car.
As of Friday the 20th of April, I no longer have to depend on others for transportation.
So huzzah! Now I can get to my early morning math reviews. :)

And it looks gorgeous...
(It's all clean, and shiny, and yay!)
I kind of had to stroke it a little bit. ;)
The inside was clean...except I put my jacket on it.

This is probably the cleanest my car will be ever again.
So I shall enjoy it. :D

"This is so going on my Blog"

I say this sometimes, and sometimes I just think it.
Here are some things that this applies to, from recent times:

 That's Kirsten at Band Festival.
That's an Easter Egg I drew in my sister's notebook on Easter.
 That's a head band...on a guy. Scary.
That picture just made me happy, on my way to the gym. :D
 That's Newman's Badger.
 Nerdy math egg!
 And the other side. ;)
Nerdy math eggs really are the best.
Heather scares me sometimes...a lot. :P
 Will had some piggy tails.
The cat laid on our game. Silly cat. ;)
Cat statue!

SUU~Thunderbirds! :D

This last Friday I went to SUU.
It was pretty great. :)

I went with my Mom.
We ate Taco Bell. Mmm...Taco Bell. :D
That was in their bathrooms. It was awesome.
This is my new bear. His name is Thunder! ;)
 Those are some old shoes.
 Thunderbird Car!
Prescription Golf Balls. :D
Thunderbirds!
That's Gunther, the rock. They use him for advertising.
Above is the greatest thing...ever. :) That's Calculus...on a wall.
Go Thunderbirds! I'm so excited to go there (hopefully)!! :)

Non-Superbowl Superbowl Party

Monday and Tuesday my family had a little party.
None of us really care much about the superbowl, but I like the food.
So we watched sports movies. Lots of sports movies.

On Monday we watched Remember the Titans and Hoosiers.
On Tuesday we watched Bend It Like Beckham, A League of Their Own, Miracle, The Legend of Bagger Vance.
On Wednesday, I watched all three Mighty Ducks movies and Fever Pitch.

There were many, many movies watched.
I ate cream puffs, vegetables, fruit salad, pigs in blankets, and yummy chips.
Om nom nom, food. :)

Anyway...it was a good celebration.

 (Lazy cat, all day long)
Mmmm...cream puffs.

Not good

We're going to state
For band.
I have no desire to participate in this activity.
I don't need another thing to do...

My Laugh

I've been told I have a good one by some people.

Today in the math room, Rachel Eldridge told me that my laugh makes her think of something happy (I can't think of the exact words she used).

Then Kevin Goodrich said, "Your laugh makes me think of a dead llama."

I'm not quite sure how I feel about that.
But...I think I'm okay with it. :)

(Pray for wind tomorrow so I can go fly a kite in English!)

My Family's the Best

I love how I can come home from band festival (blech),
My family asks me how it went.
I say, "He said it was the best we'd ever played the songs."
And my family knows exactly how to respond.

"That sucks."

Mustache...

This is my new favorite picture.

I love messing with my cat. :D

Remember how...

Remember how I got in my first accident on Tuesday?
Well...my car is kind of seriously damaged.
As in, maybe totaled.
Which sucks, because now I have no car and too many places to go.
Like golf.
And school.
And the library.
And early morning band festival.
And Barnes and Noble.
Not cool. :(

Remember how I got a Nook?
Well...the power cord kind of died.
And with no way to charge it, the Nook died as well.
So I have no Nook at the moment either. :c

But, remember how I took the ACT?
Well...I got a 32 again.
All my scores went down by 2 (Science and English) or 3 (Reading) except Math, which went up by 5.
Do you think this shows something about my English education this year?

Sadly, I still don't know my score on my Calculus test.

So...now I want all this insanity to go away.
I need (okay, want) a car. And a Nook. And to know my math score.

Anyway...here's hoping this week goes better than last week did.

Feliz Cupleanos

Today is my brother Joe's birthday.
He's done some stupid stuff, like all siblings, but we still have a great time hanging out.
He's always been pretty crazy and way awesome.
He goes to the University of Utah, and is a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
He's way too smart for his own good, but you can pretty much always count on him for a laugh.

Happy birthday Joe. :)

Knowledge

Some things I know now:

  • Car accidents are kind of scary, but you can survive...usually.
  • Rope comes in handy, you should keep some on you at all times.
  • The integral of (sinx)^2 is apparently 1/2(x-sinxcosx). I know that now. :)
  • A lot of people like The Hunger Games, but I've never read them and have no plans to.
Some things I hope to know soon:
  • My score on the ACT we took at the beginning of the month. It's killing me!
  • How I did on my chapter 8 BC Calc test.
  • When I'll get my car back.
  • Who will be Pleasant Grove High's next Student Body President?
  • Can I survive 18 holes of golf? (Not so much soon as just at some point in the next month)
Here are some pictures of my car:

Alas, I have no car today. :C

First Time

Today was my very first ever golf tournament.
I ended up sunburnt, of course.
On my nose, a little one the rest of my face/ears, and my part (hair).
I had fun though. :)

I got a total of 70, par total was 36.
It was...long. I was in a group with some good girls though.

Now...I'm tired.
Night. ;)

Colm Wilkinson

He was Jean Valjean on Broadway.
And now he's the bishop in the movie.
That makes me happy.
